The team has a new opportunity for an experienced Physicist with a strong background in developing medical devices to lead and contribute to a variety of exciting device development projects. A key figure in the Medical Technologies team the physicist will lead important development projects , contribute technically to the design of complex electro-mechanical systems and develop new business opportunities . They will use their expertise guide the development process from concept through to prototype delivery taking into consideration all the complexities of producing a product for the medical device industry. You will be working alongside some of the finest Engineers & Scientists in the UK to challenge the technical boundaries -and design your way through them The Physicist will have an exceptional background in developing complex electro-mechanical Medical Devices in addition to the following experiences: Education: An exceptional first degree (2.1 or higher) from a in Physics. A post graduate qualification Masters or PhD in a relevant subject would be highly desirable Experience Significant experience of product development with in the Medical Device field in the areas of one or more of the following: Medical Diagnostics and Life Science Instrumentation Surgical and interventional products Drug Delivery Devices Connected Health (Wireless Medical Devices) Strong technical skills, with key strengths in practical application of the sciences and the ability the apply first principles to engineering challenges Significant experience of leading multidisciplinary technical teams Experience of developing business opportunities Experience of writing technical reports and technical project planning A genuine passion for Physics and Engineering.
