To accommodate contract growth in the Leidos UK & Europe, Global Airports group we are looking for a new Senior Programme Manager to join the team this role can be based in Glasgow or Whiteley THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY Ensuring programme execution and delivery success on all projects and accounts, assigned or delegated. Maintaining strong delivery relationships, internally with staff, leadership and our customers. Direct input in growth strategy, though leadership, development and implementation. Flawless execution on programme delivery including growth of existing contracts and accounts. Meet or exceed the performance measures on existing contracts and accounts. Improvement in operating efficiency; people, processes and product. Establishing and maintaining a high degree of Programme Management discipline in order to achieve perfect programme execution. Discharging the Programme Manager function for assigned projects or accounts, with responsibility for cost, schedule, customer confidence and performance. Understanding Customers' needs and wants, and delivering the required value proposition. Setting and maintaining effective schedule, cost and technical baselines and measurement to ensure effective delivery to the Customer. Ensuring proposals comply with standards, legislation, processes and all other required controls. Managing Risk and Opportunity to meet Customer and business objectives. Ensure all applicable Quality Assurance and business process concepts and practices are developed, improved, applied and adhered to throughout the programme life cycle. Establishing and maintaining a culture of Continued Improvement. Working with departmental leaders to maintain highly effective teams and delivery focus. Assisting peers and colleagues to meet our business objectives. Contributing to the development of business strategy. PROFILE The Global Airports team has an immediate requirement for an experienced and highly competent Senior Programme Manager , reporting directly to the Operations Director, Global Airports. The role will be responsible for delivery across a portfolio of major and minor customer accounts, ensuring assured on-time/on-cost and on-quantity delivery of our world class product suite. Required Skills: Experience in programme management on high-profile or international programmes. Proven performance and broad experience with software development and systems integration; experience in the transportation sector would be advantageous. A strong awareness of engineering principles; experience of SDLC/integration highly desirable. Experience in coordinating/implementing project plans including technical, schedule and budget. Experience developing tailored project management solutions and internal controls to ensure delivery success, financial control (including Earned Value Management) and support functions. Experience working with a variety of domestic and international customer communities. Customer focused with strong skills in developing customer intimacy and trust; proven track of delivering to the airline industry highly desirable. Record of continual improvement, demonstrable success in delivering operational excellence. Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities. Excellent written and oral communications skills and experience presenting to internal and external customers, including at senior levels.
