Kasus (Part of the STR Group of Companies) are currently looking to recruit for the following role on behalf of one of our clients: Job title: Property Lawyer / Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer (Job description available upon request) Employment/Contract type: Maternity Cover - fixed term contract until the end of May 2017 Start date: ASAP Hours: Flexible between 07:30 - 19:00 Location: Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 Salary for fixed term contract: Circa £36,500 PA (there is a possibility to offer higher salary depending on experience) One of our clients is looking for the Property Lawyer to start as soon as possible at their Christchurch office. It is essential for the candidates to be a Qualified Lawyer or Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer and have solid residential or commercial property law experience post qualification. Someone who comes from private practice or legal office background, familiar with social housing sector would be suitable for this job. The role requires for the new person to pick up workload and adapt to new working environment quickly and be able to perform duties without supervision. Job Purpose: To provide property transactional work in support of development, asset management and housing to the Group. To manage the Legal Officer and Legal Administrator. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Property transactional work in support of development, asset management and housing to include but not limited to: Freehold and leasehold acquisitions Freehold and leasehold disposals Infrastructure Agreements i.e. Section 106s Section 38s and Section 104s Grant of shared ownership leases Management of long leaseholds including lease extensions and renewals Commercial lease renewals, surrenders, variations and rent reviews Deeds of Easement and sales of small areas of land Deeds of variation, rectification and release Defective title issues e.g. adverse possession claims Advice on commercial and residential landlord and tenant issues Charging properties Assist the Panel Solicitors and Group Finance Director in the charging of the Group's assets as and when required Obtain consents and discharges from mortgagees Line management responsibilities for the two Legal Officers in the performance of their duties as set out in their Job Descriptions If this role is of interest please forward an upto date CV and availability to or/and call Rob Dartnell 02392 322383 This job was originally posted as
