Electricity North West own, operate and maintain the regions electricity distribution network. Through our network of overhead lines, underground cables, switchgear and transformers, we connect more than 2.4 million properties to the National Grid. Our information technology and telephony teams (IT&T) are instrumental in providing solutions that ensure we keep up to date with technological changes to ensure our network operates both efficiently and reliably and above all secure the electricity supply across the North West, both now and in the future. It is important that we do so in a way that delivers exceptional value for money for our customers. Innovation requires money. Therefore our technological solutions must be delivered in the most cost effective way possible. We have a newly created opportunity for a Category Manager to join our business and take the lead in ensuring the IT&T spend category is delivered in an affordable way with robust contractual terms that protect the interest of both our company and our customers. We are looking for a procurement professional with a strong commercial ethos. With proven leadership and influencing skills you will be adept at forging and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels across the business, the industry and within the supply chains. You will bring a strong awareness of market trends within the category in order to inform strategic decisions and deliver robust contracts that support our business goals. With proven experience in the end to end procurement lifecycle you will lead a small team to deliver successful solutions. In return we will offer you a competitive base salary, bonus earning potential of up to 10.5% of base salary, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, membership of a defined contribution pension scheme with employer contributions of up to 14%, private healthcare and a range of flexible benefits.
