We are on the hunt for an ambitious Sous Chef for a busy gastro pub in Surrey. The establishment has an award winning smokehouse & BBQ style menu; they smoke all their own meat on site using top of the range smokers imported from the states. The pub has only been open for 18 months and they plan to expand to 6 sites, meaning plenty of opportunity for career progression with this position. The owner is all about hiring passionate candidates with great drive and determination who will really make the most of this fantastic opportunity. The Role: Deputise in the absence of the Head Chef Assist in the training of junior staff Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment Helping create popular seasonal menus The Candidate: Minimum 2 years’ previous experience as a Sous Chef Willing to learn new techniques and skills Passion for fresh, local meat and produce Butchery skills are a bonus although not essential Benefits: Great salary Meals on duty Accommodation available 28 days holiday Salary £20,000 - £24,000 All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
