CNC Field Service Engineer Hampshire £30,000 to £35,000 (OTE £40k) LOOKING AFTER THE HAMPSHIRE AREA ONLY A machine tool service company based in southern Hampshire Due to a continued response to the growing demand for specialist machine tool servicing that the company provides, a new opportunity is now available for a skilled and experience CNC Machine Tool Service Engineer Job Profile To ensure the trouble free production of the customers’ machines, providing a quick breakdown service by only working with customers within a 30 mile radius of Gosport. The main aim for the business and your role is to minimize down time for the customers providing service, breakdowns and preventative maintenance. As the CNC Field Service Engineer you will be working in a team of 3 other service engineers and will be provided with a company vehicle (which is also available to you for personal use) and all the equipment needed to perform your role, including a laptop and mobile phone. Duties: • All electrical, electronic and mechanical work involved in servicing and repairing CNC machines • Working on both CNC Lathes and Mills • Following Health & Safety procedures, and all additional Health & Safety procedures relating to the customers’ site • Testing the operation of the serviced machine to the satisfaction of the customer • Reporting to the Service Manager and to customers' staff as appropriate • Assess the nature of the problem and its cause(s) • Identifying all replacement parts required and ensuring that these are promptly ordered • Fitting all replacement parts in accordance with the manufacturer’s specification • Checking the operation of the machine to confirm that it meets the customer's satisfaction • Carry out maintenance checks in accordance with agreed schedules, reporting to both the customer and to the Service Manager • Provide a consistently high standard of service to the customer Skills & Experience: • Minimum 3 years’ experience servicing/maintaining Milling and Turning machines • Electrically biased • A good range of experience with control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain • Strong engineering background with appropriate educational qualifications and training • Strong communication skills • A can-do attitude with a positive pro-active approach to provide customers with an excellent service • Able to work on own and as a team member Hours: • 40 hours per week • Monday to Friday • Paid from when you leave your home to when you get back through the door Key Skills Machine Tool Service Engineer, Maintenance, Repair, CNC, Breakdown, Preventative Maintenance, Electrical, CNC Field Service Engineer This job was originally posted as
