Health Physics Graduate Programme
As an engineering giant, HSE plays a critical role in our business. What we do poses many challenges from this perspective. So, as one of our graduates, you’ll get to experience the discipline in all its complexities. Over the course of two years, you’ll move around the business to gain knowledge in different areas of HSE. You’ll touch on everything from operational HSE to high-profile divisional projects that have a tangible impact on what we do. With real responsibility from day one and regular exposure to senior management, Babcock is the place to be if you have an aspiration to rapidly develop your HSE expertise and knowledge. Where you can join us You can find out more about the areas of our business offering places on the Health, Safety and Environment programme for autumn 2017 on our website. But, no matter which team you join, you could be based anywhere in the UK. That’s why we ask all our graduates to be flexible and willing to move during their programme. What you'll be doing Your ultimate goal will be to progress towards becoming a policy expert to the business. From day one, you’ll get real responsibility and the opportunity to work alongside senior management. Your journey will take in everything from contract and head office projects, and advising on procedure to key aspects of HSE practice, such as Occupational Health, Management Systems, Culture Change, Bids and Project Management. You’ll work to support and advise senior management on the implementation of Babcock policies and procedures. By the end of the programme, you’ll be equipped to champion HSE throughout the business. You’ll also be an integral part of the safety forum steering group, where you’ll be required to encourage active participation across the business. What you'll get out of it The sheer breadth of exposure our programme offers means you’ll develop HSE knowledge and experience that’s second to none. This means you’ll evolve into an invaluable subject area expert that wields significant influence on the way we do business. Applications for this programme are currently open. To avoid disappointment we recommend that you apply sooner rather than later as we work on a rolling basis and where we experience large volumes of applications, we will close the role early.
