PR Agency - Manchester PR Account Director £40k - £45k THE COMPANY Our client is one of the leading PR Agencies within Manchester, they are a forward thinking, content driven multi-specialist agency with a number of high-profile clients across both the consumer and B2B PR space. Due to a flurry of new business wins and internal promotions, they now seek a dedicated, driven and hands-on Account Director to come on board and manage a number of their largest accounts. THE ROLE An account director would normally have at least 5/6 years' experience at account executive / management level as a minimum Their presentation and selling skills should be of the highest order and they should bring creativity and a solutions-led approach to their role They should be able to interface with the client at senior level, having earned their respect as a seasoned professional who is in charge of their account Planning and organisational skills should be of the highest standard, as well as the ability to work under the constant stresses and strains created by working in a fast paced and demanding field It is usual for the AD to be handling around 10-12 accounts, with support from account managers/ executives, working to financial targets set out by the company They will be involved in taking key decisions on account development, new business and staff/ consultancy development, showing initiative and commercial acumen They should be a senior ambassador for the consultancy, and should possess a detailed knowledge of the marketplace, trends, competitor activity, and business in general This role has 50/20/30 split between client activity, new business and team management/mentoring/reporting. The account director has total responsibility for the delivery of the work programme for clients and is directly answerable to the managing director.
