A market leader in children’s toiletries, licensed and own-brand, is looking for a senior brand development professional to join their firm. Established for just over 25 years, they are a forward thinking, entrepreneurial business which has been quickly recognised as the UK’s number one for children’s toiletries, securing licenses with major, high-profile names and a customer base that includes the 4 big grocery chains. This is a true Director level role which will see this person registered as a company director with Companies House. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and other Directors of the business to oversee all day-to-day operations of the business to enable the business to maintain its stronghold alongside responsibility for Marketing Development. You will be a key member of the senior management team, shaping and delivering the business profitability. Key responsibilities: •New product categories and customer identification. Research and evaluate new product categories for the business. •Identify and evaluate new licences available to the Company, negotiate the royalty rate and guarantee amount, the duration of the licence and manage the relationship with each licence supplier. •Marketing Services - utilising social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and bloggers in order to maximise growth potential and stay in the loop. Experience required: The chosen candidate will be familiar with the culture associated with the supply of products to UK retailers and the FMCG industry. The successful candidate will be offer a tailored approach to potential business. They offer a bespoke service to clients and work with their clients in a consultative manner which is reflected in their track record. The ability to communicate effectively and confidently at senior management level. A huge aspect of this role will involve negotiation and dealing with major, well-known names therefore exposure to this environment is desirable.
