It’s a great time to join Buy It Direct as our growth doesn’t seem to be stopping, and we continue to go from strength to strength We’re looking to recruit a Quality Controller, a new role within our Barnsley distribution centre. The role is all about making sure the quality control of our products You’ll be dealing with and organising spare parts, requesting those needed to help sort and fix damaged and faulty products, so that they meet the necessary specification at all times. You'll be identifying trends and patterns in order to liaise with various departments in the business so that damages and faults can be reduced. These include Laptops Direct, Appliances Direct and Furniture123, and to top that off we also run website solutions for Debenhams and Tesco. We continue to grow year on year, so now’s the time to join in What else will you have to do? In our roleyou'll be unpacking and quality checking new and existing products as we need to make sure they meet our required standards. You’ll be undertaking spot checks at the point of receipt or dispatch as we need you to ensure products are in pristine condition, making sure we are not missing any parts of the product during inspection, organising and logging damages and faulty units. We’ll need you to log all of the information so we can look for patterns and trends which need to be addressed. As you can imagine, communication is also going to be key within this role to ensure that necessary departments, such as purchasing and customer services, are kept up to date at all times in regards to feedback on faulty or damaged products to improve the service and products provided to our customers So what’s really important to us? We’re really keen to hear from you if you’ve previous experience of working within a warehousing environment, and even better if you’ve worked within a stock control or administrative role. As you’d expect we need you to have high levels of attention to detail, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. And because a lot of what you do will be logging everything on a computer you must have excellent IT skills and ability to use Excel and Outlook. We're looking for a self motivated, proactive individual who thrives whilst working within a pressurised environment and has a real desire to succeed within a fast moving company. Interested?
