HSE Recruitment Network has been retained by North West Logistics Limited to appoint a new Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Compliance Manager. North West Logistics currently provide storage and transportation across the UK and Europe for both hazardous and non-hazardous goods. The business is experiencing a tremendously exciting period of growth and to accommodate this, they will be moving to a new location with a 6 times increase in storage space, and a 3 times increase in HGV parking, plus a new on-site maintenance facility. This fantastic new facility will be an upper tier COMAH site. You will report directly to and work closely with the business Managing Director and will be responsible for: - Preparation and implementation of sites COMAH Safety report; working closely with relevant authorities to develop both on site and off site emergency plans. - Strategic development of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and procedures across the business. - Be an expert point of contact for all aspects of COMAH on site for both internal and external stakeholders. - Work closely with employees across the site to maintain the existing ISO 9001 quality management system and to ensure that the new 2015 standard is also met. To be considered for this opportunity you will need to display a demonstrable track record of success within a similar environment, either chemicals or hazardous transportation. You will be qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH/NCRQ Certificate level with an in depth knowledge of COMAH and the requirement of on upper tier COMAH site. DGSA's and candidates with a formal quality auditing qualification are desirable. In return, you will receive a competitive base salary of c. 35,000 PA plus a comprehensive benefits package including bonus, pension and corporate benefits.
