Don’t miss out You will need: A solid degree in maths or maths-related subject A minimum of 3 years production/commercial C++ desktop software development experience (not embedded), including both maintenance and R&D projects. Experience of working in a multi-tiered development architecture Visual Studio experience, 2008 or higher Experience of requirements-product software development life cycle. You're much more than just a coder - you want to create products Any of these may provide that unfair advantage: Any experience of working in the geosciences Experience of working with and integrating 3rd party mathematical algorithms (e.g. Solvers, interpolation algortithms, triangulation etc.) MFC COM If it comes down to a photo finish , the following might make the difference: Experience of the Team Foundation Services development environment 2D/3D graphics experience (e.g. OpenGL) Experience of the JIRA Project Tracking System Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Scrumban Experience of working within and/or developing a unit testing framework C# skills (supporting existing C++ skills) The Package: Small, tight team – 5 developers, 3 testers Pension: 10% non-contributory from day 1 - this is about as good as you'll get Private Health Care after 6 months probation 25 days holiday per annum (accrued in 1st year) Office-based role but flexible working arrangement UK citizens only please and must be willing to relocate This job was originally posted as
