WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Skilled Mechanical Fitters (Wagons) Semi-Skilled Mechanical Fitters (Wagons) Ideally you will have previous Rail experience but this is not essential. Please see the roles below and apply today SKILLED MECHANICAL FITTER (WAGONS) - £20,000 - £25,000 As a Skilled Mechanical Fitter you'll carry out servicing, maintenance and fault finding of wagons, components and equipment to ensure the production of safe, reliable wagons in line with company availability and reliability requirements. MAIN DUTIES: Adhere to health and safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety and technical standards. Comply with all instructions, rules and regulations in force. Maintain, service, fault find and repair wagons and rolling stock in accordance with the approved maintenance plans as required by the local manager. Ensure all relevant paperwork for examinations and repairs is correctly completed on time and to required company standards. Repair and commission all plant and equipment as required from time to time. Assist Team Leaders / Co-ordinators (Under their direction) as required during maintenance and repair of wagons and rolling stock. EXPERIENCE: You'll have experience of working as a Skilled Mechanical Fitter, including maintenance, repair and fault finding. Ideally you'll have had previous experience of working on Rolling Stock / Wagons within the Rail industry. You'll have the ability to make sound engineering decisions and will have good communication skills, written and oral. SEMI-SKILLED MECHANICAL FITTER (WAGONS) - £18,000 - £20,000 As a Semi-Skilled Fitter you'll support the teams in servicing, fault finding and maintaining Freightliner Wagons, components and other associated equipment to ensure the production of safe, reliable wagons in line with company availability and reliability requirements. MAIN DUTIES: Adhere to health and safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety and technical standards. Comply with all instructions, rules and regulations in force. Carry out maintenance, service, fault find and repair wagons and rolling stock in accordance with the approved maintenance plans as required by the local manager. Support the Material Co-ordinator with stock issue, control and audit requirements. Undertake general duties relative to cleanliness of workshop areas, mess room, toilets etc. as required. EXPERIENCE: You'll have experience of working as a Semi-Skilled Mechanical Fitter, including maintenance, repair and fault finding. You'll have the ability to make sound engineering decisions and will have basic communication skills, written and oral.
