AQUILA Air Traffic Management Services is a partnership between NATS, a leading UK air navigation services specialist and Thales, a driving force in UK and global air traffic management. Together, we are deploying our expert knowledge to improve military air traffic management in the UK. It’s a transformational project named Project Marshall, which, will deliver ongoing service efficiency savings for UK military terminal air traffic services throughout the 22 year life of the programme. Join Aquila as a Maintenance Planner & Coordinator to manage the planning, coordination and document for all Aquila maintenance activities supporting our technical services. As the Maintenance Planner & Coordinator you will produce, manage and control the Aquila maintenance plan, instigate and arrange Facility Interrupts and liaise with Aquila customers, Aquila support staff and 3rd party agencies in delivering the agreed maintenance plan. In the absence of the Flight Checking Manager, the Maintanence Planner & Coordinator will undertake Flight Check duties. The MP&C is accountable for the production of the maintenance plan and will maintain the plan throughout its life. This will directly involve the coordination and conflict resolution of planned maintenance activities, whilst minimising the disruption of technical services to the ATM community. Accountabilities As the Maintenance Planner & Coordinator you will be responsible for; Liaising directly with Aquila customers and 3rd party agencies in arranging Technical Service scheduled facility interrupts, focusing on minimising customer service disruption, whilst meeting Aquila business objectives and safety obligations. Ensuring that all maintainers tasked to carry out maintenance on operational systems, are competent, current and hold the appropriate qualifications to carry-out the planned activity. Assisting in the formation and coordination of maintenance statistics and reports, in conjunction with Service Desk Manager. Ensuring that the Service Desk Manager is informed of any significant maintenance activity that has the potential to cause delayed outages or, where the maintenance activity will cause a significant unavailability to our customer. Maintaining excellent customer relations with both Aquila customers and suppliers in the undertaking of their duties. Qualifications, Experience and Skills: Experience in maintenance planning and coordination in a highly regulated, safety critical environment. Experience of Air Traffic Management, preferably Military, would be advantageous. Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are essential to be able to work effectively with staff at all levels within the business. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills. The ability and confidence to make sound and effective decisions relating to planning and coordination.
