The site is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and has free parking available to all employees as well as the other available benefits: Performance Related Bonus Pension & Life Assurance Health Services Discounts Scheme 25 days holiday bank holidays Reporting into the Enterprise Application Manager, the main purpose of this position is: To work with business leads to identify, design and deliver a Global Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Reporting capabilities that support/enable efficient business processes, and the functionality required by the users to perform their duties. Identify user requirements for systems based on existing and projected operational procedures and practices. Translate requirements into functional specifications. Ensure the final system functionality meets the user requirements. Provide user support for the resulting applications. Key Duties and Responsibilities will include: Defining Data Warehouse (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Strategy Designing and implementing global DW process including data feeds and cube build Designing and implementing global BI process including dashboards Developing and maintaining DW & BI Strategy Delivery Plan Monitoring and reporting progress of DW & BI Strategy Delivery Plan Escalating strategic DW & BI decisions to Enterprise Applications Manager Promoting and enforcing DW & BI Change Management processes Cascade DW & BI design to Global and local Management Teams Communicate user feedback to Enterprise Applications Manager Manage relationship between IT and User community Liaise with technical resources (IT and third party suppliers) Liaise with QA on DW & BI quality and validation issues Strategy - Assist with defining and employing change management processes (requirements definition, approval and delivery) Quality Assurance - Assist with defining and applying quality standards Development - Create functional and technical requirement specifications, and work with manager to agree on development activities and perform development. Training - Ensure available tools/skills match BPL's information requirements; identify and arrange appropriate skills training Support - Provide expert advice and support to Business Area Specialists and promote communication and collaborative working between them Knowledge Base - Provide advice and guidance about business data, (where it is held and how it relates) and BI tools Process - Define a robust process for information Service Requests Development - development and maintenance of DW and BI tools ranging from basic reports to Senior Management Dashboards Coordinate DW & BI security/audit/QA strategies Coordinate upgrade delivery and patch management Oversee release process from analysis, through validation to live promotion Monitor DW & BI capacity and performance Monitor and report on DW & BI support performance The successful candidate will: Hold a bachelors degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field Experience with Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence software, especially around the areas of supply chain, inventory and financials Experience designing and developing data feeds and cube build Experience of designing and developing management reports and dashboards Experience gained within an FMCG business Experience of integrating IT commercial ERP systems Technical knowledge of reporting tools/SQL Ability to manage multiple requests in a result orientated organisation Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products Excellent critical reasoning, decision -making and problem solving skills to analyse situations, determine risks, and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects If you feel that you would be a good fit and that you meet the above requirements, please apply today.
