We are looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join a kitchen within a country house hotel in the heart of Gloucestershire. The hotel kitchen provides service for the Bar, Brasserie and 2 Rosette Restaurant with all food outlets being under the direction of one passionate and talented Head Chef. The kitchen is run to his impeccable standards producing seasonal menus using fresh, quality ingredients. The main kitchen is also responsible for the catering of the many weddings that the venue is busy with all year round. Possible career progression for a hard working candidate within their small group of hotels. The Role: Assisting the Chef de Partie preparation of food for service Working with Chef de Partie to maintain own section Maintaining health and safety standards Gaining experience from all sections in the kitchen The Candidate: Previous experience in a busy kitchen preferred Competent and level headed Passion for cooking fresh produce, remaining true to the season Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen producing consistent quality Benefits: Straight shifts Accommodation for £35 PW Career progression Uniform allowance Staff discount for overnight stays within the hotel chain 25% off all food purchases Salary £17,500 £2K TIPS All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
