We are looking for an accomplished Project Manager with experience of managing relationships with demanding customers to lead the deployment of new solutions, the roll-out of large-scale device upgrades and other activities into a major retail client. We are a market leading provider of asset visibility and enterprise mobility products and solutions and this represents an opportunity to join us in a high-profile position requiring a great range of skills such as the management, initiation, provision and coordination of equipment, solutions and services to a key Zebra customer. Projects may include the provision or deployment of managed mobility device services; RFID solutions; handheld data capture device solutions and barcode scanning equipment solutions across a range of customer sites. Because the size and complexity of these systems varies; you'll be expected to be capable of delivering projects to customer estates of several hundred or several thousand sites. High levels of agility, rapid change control and communications are critical in this position. You'll be responsible for the project from inception to final acceptance and handover to the support organisation - some key responsibilities will include: Manage regional project teams to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled on time, to specification, within budget and to the customer's satisfaction Own the relationship between the customer, the various company divisions, vendors and other parties, such as third party sub-contractors and suppliers. Maintain alignment with the delivery organisation, the customer, account team and the sales engineering community Produce and maintain project plans and ensure they are achieved. Produce and maintain project and account budgets, P & L goals, revenue and cost forecasts Provide Management reports on progress, milestones, costs, billings and releases Manage all project test and customer acceptance milestones Manage change control process and project variations Manage direct reports as required We're looking for someone with proven Project Management experience from a retail perspective - this could be managing large-scale deployments into retail stores for example or perhaps working for a retailer and delivering projects to their branches. We'll also consider related experience which involves demanding customer relationship management and a fast paced,regularly changing environment - however, retail should ideally factor somewhere in your background. Demonstrable experience of project management in a major project environment is essential; you should have an in depth working knowledge of project management methodologies and be familiar with software based project management tools. The project manager needs to demonstrate the ability to operate with agility in a very dynamic environment and be able to communicate technically across different levels of the organisation. Degree, H.N.C, or equivalent in an Engineering, Business Studies, Project Management, or related discipline is an advantage along with a Prince 2 or PMP qualification although a track record of strong technical involvement in either information technology or communications related projects will be required as a minimum in the absence of qualification Please note that we will contact potentially successful applicants within 5 working days, and will endeavor to contact all interested parties.
