Shift Manager (Production Manager/Food) Melton Mowbray – Leicestershire 4 on 4 off (6am – 6pm – DAYS only) £24,500 - £26,000 base £2450 shift allowance Bonus (£800 in 2015) Pension Training Shift Manager required by a growing British food manufacturer who can offer further leadership training (external & internal) & progression. The successful candidate will come from ANY manufacturing background and will have experience of managing team leaders and dairy operatives. You must have experience of managing at least 15 people as you will manage 60 people in this role. The remit of this role will be to oversee a team of 60 dairy operatives as well as team leaders that will report into you directly. Reporting into the Dairy Manager you will be responsible for a specific section of a dairy environment and ensuring that it is running efficiently. You will be responsible for motivating the team to ensure maximum productivity and quality is achieved. You will play a key part in driving the business’ efficiencies forward, you will help implement lean manufacturing techniques and maintain quality and health and safety standards across the whole department. The role: Managing a large team of multi-skilled production operatives - Lead, motivate and develop team. Manage supervisors and dairy operatives indirectly. Ensure that production plans meet business needs/demands. Help implement improvements to manufacturing processes. The Person: Experience managing 15 employees in a manufacturing/production environment. People management experience. Knowledge of health and safety/quality standards.
