Our client has a new exciting opportunity for a Category Group Junior Specialist to join their successful team based in Witham . The successful candidate will join them on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary . Key Responsibilities of their Category Group Junior Specialist will include: - To be responsible for ensuring the Company has adequate stock levels (within the levels set by the Managing Director and/or Group Category Manager) at all times for any category or supplier under your control by means of efficient and timely purchasing duties - To be responsible and accountable for all stocks purchased from suppliers under your control - To place and progress orders as required in order to meet or exceed performance targets assigned - To be responsible for ensuring that you develop close working relationships with suppliers of assigned categories at all levels of responsibility and act as lead supplier contact for day to day transactional requirements - To keep up to date with new product developments and assist the Category Group Specialist to source new suppliers for assigned categories - To source, where possible, goods for special orders and liaise fully with the Sales Department over these transactions - To provide feedback to the Category Group Manager in order to support the supplier performance evaluation for assigned categories based on quality, prices, delivery, customer feedback and personal knowledge and to record this information in conjunction with the approved supplier - To be responsible and accountable for supplying the Health & Safety Manager/Stock Control with COSHH sheets for all new/existing products purchased from all suppliers under your control What they’re looking for in their Category Group Junior Specialist - Ability to engage with all levels of management both internally and externally - Previous experience of working within a procurement/inventory department - MS Office experience Excel/Outlook with the ability to manipulate and interpret data - Ability to influence and support team members in negotiations and information sharing - Experience of inventory control within required performance parameters - Ability to converse with suppliers and stakeholders using all methods of communication - Use of Purchasing/Inventory systems and ability to interpret information - Background in healthcare wholesaling or comparable industry experience In return as their Category Group Junior Specialist they can offer: - Competitive salary linked to skills and experiences - Performance related bonus - 28 days holiday including bank holidays - Family friendly policies - Career Development in a growing business If you would like to join their team as their new Category Group Junior Specialist then please click ‘ apply ’ today – don’t miss out, they’d love to hear from you CLOSING DATE: 31st October 2016 or when a sufficient number of suitable applications have been received This job was originally posted as
