Due a number of year's successful growth a vacancy has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer / Maintenance- (Electrical bias) to work for a well-respected FMCG Manufacturing Company in Greater Manchester area. As a highly skilled and competent Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for the daily maintenance, reactive and preventive, within a fast paced manufacturing environment. You will be working as part of multi-skilled team, thus enabling the opportunity to develop your mechanical engineering skills. You will be driven and keen to promote continuous improvement and efficiencies within the Engineering Department. Daily Tasks- -Preventative maintenance activities -Assisting in engineering projects -Deal with the day-to-day breakdowns and changeovers. -Installation and commission of Equipment as required -Take on an active role in generating ideas for improvement. -Be involved in getting to the root cause of the problem and find ways to prevent the problems happening again. -Work within a team and on your own initiative You must be competent in- -working with PLC Systems -read and fault find in an electrical system -install & programme inverted 3 phase motors In addition- - Hold at least a NVQ Level 3 in relevant electrical engineering qualification - Committed to training and development - Have experience within a food / FMCG manufacturing environment - A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure. Hours of work- 36 hours per week, (12 hour shifts days) Shift Thursday- Saturday in work Sunday off work followed by Monday-Wednesday in work followed by 7 days off work.
