Fast growing services business based in the Congleton area requires a Project Manager for a new and growing division of the business. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project management, planning activities and delivery of all projects (i.e. technical, operation, commercial). They are also responsible for ensuring that the final deliverable of systems development projects meets all of the intended needs of the business. They will need to be able to understand the systems development lifecycle models and what the specific activities are to manage development projects, to understand the project standards and to maintain detailed and accurate documentation per all project standards. The project manager needs to have an instinctive understanding of ensuring that a customer-service ethos is crucial to good systems design. Methodical, analytical yet capable of not losing sight of the "bigger picture" when focused on important detail. Principal Accountabilities: Planning and problem-solving tasks Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Maintains appropriate plans including Project / Communication / Training / Transition and Data Migration as appropriate. Anticipate and catch deviations from a plan or schedule early and keep all participants and stakeholders informed. Identify, log, analyse and manage potential and actual issues and risks, taking corrective action by tackling day-to-day issues head on and reviewing how more serious issues and risks might impact on scope, schedule, quality and cost. Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Reviews deliverables prepared by project team to ensure quality standards are met Effectively apply methodology and enforce project standards, e.g. use of project library, issues, actions, risks and change logs. Minimizes exposure and risk on project. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Full accountability for the approval of business, functional and technical specifications, ensuring business requirements are met in full. The right candidate for this role will have good leadership skills, be a self starter, have excellent communication skills, project management experience with PMP / PRINCE2 or AGILE certification.
