Role: Demand Planner (FMCG) Location: Feltham, Middlesex Salary:£35-38k (dependant on experience) plus 25% bonus on target, £1500pa outer London travel allowance, BUPA etc Skills: Demand Planning, Demand forecasting, Supply Chain Our client a major FMCG company are looking for a Supply/Demand Planner to manage the demand, supply and stock of a frozen food category. Responsibilities: o Building a robust demand plan with inputs from Customer Management, Marketing for the category. Constructively challenging others to ensure opinion is understood. Proactively identifying and managing bias risk in the aggregated plan. o Lead the SC inputs to the key monthly meetings on the category e.g. with factories, marketing, Sales and Operational Planning and new product projects. Actively seeking to understand the wide picture to bring a collaborative solution to the process. o Take ultimate responsibility for the monthly update of the category forecast submitted to the factory and to finance including explanation of variances and risks and opportunities. Act boldly and decisively on delivering new, pragmatic ways to gain competitive advantage. o Manage the supply in from factories on a timely and cost effective basis negotiating the best supply plan solutions to meet demand, stock and Working Capital targets while minimising obsolescence o Clearly articulate key category information in a timely way, challenging the status quo and having the courage to "tell it as it is". Experience required: o Previous Demand planning skills with exposure to Supply Planning oAbility to produce with a robust demand plan with Sales teams o SAP APO demand planning experience preferred, but not essential o FMCG experience is ideal but not a must have oIntermediate to Advanced level of Excel o Demonstrated leadership skills either via Line Management or budget responsibility o Strong communication skills, with an ability to express ideas, plans & priorities in a concise manner at all levels. oDesire to represent the supply chain and to take decisions in a dynamic fast-paced environment, sometimes alone o Good influencing and negotiating skills oThe ability to build good relationships and to communicate bad news as well as good People First are Supply Chain recruitment specialists covering areas such as Direct and Indirect Procurement, Demand Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, Logistics, Category Management, Inventory, Sales & Operations, NPD, Production, Packaging from an entry to director level.
