(40 hours a week) Our Client is one of Liverpool’s’ leading Wedding & Event venues with facilities to cater for up to 500 people. With numerous high end suites and conference lounges, our client is looking for an experienced Event Manager to oversee the event operations which operate 7 days per week, 365 days a year. The client is located in Liverpool City Centre. Full flexibility in terms of working hours is ESSENTIAL in this role, to work to business needs. This role involves weekend work, as many events are during the weekend. The person Our client is looking for a smart, warm, friendly natural leader with exceptional organisation skills who thrives on providing only the very best levels of hospitality. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2/3 years’ experience as an Events Manager or similar. Wedding Management is a key element to this role and the successful candidate will have experience managing Ceremonies, Wedding Receptions and Evening Functions for up to 200 guests. Be able to operate in a flexible environment and deal with both Corporate and Leisure business. Excellent knowledge of service styles is required, in particular, three and four course dinner service, buffet, bar & beverage service. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: · Overseeing all Conference, Meetings, Weddings & Events to ensure they are delivered in line with Liner Brand Standards and meet the expectations of the guest. · Have a meticulous approach to presentation and attention to detail. · Deal directly with Event organisers, Delegates, Bride & Grooms maintaining a professional and supportive approach at all times. · Wedding Management – Attending “Final Details” meetings with the Bride & Groom, dealing with Registrars, co-ordinating Wedding Ceremonies and acting as “Toastmaster” when required. · Manage, motivate and train your Conference & Events team ensuring that Brand Standards are consistently delivered by the whole team. · Identify weaknesses within your team of staff, carrying out specific training where necessary. · Manage stock levels and implement suitable procedures to minimise loss and theft. · Understanding specific requirements in terms of equipment, technology and event set-up, dealing with external suppliers to ensure they meet the requirements of the guest. · Build a strong working relationship with all Hotel Departments, particularly Sales & Catering ensuring all guest requirements are planned, prepared and executed. · Complete weekly team rota’s within a set budget · Completion of administration duties including holidays, payroll and any other relevant duties.
