We have an excellent opportunity to work for a well established, local employer on their sales team. With an open plan sales office and a professional vibrant sales team where competition leads to success. The successful applicant will be able to develop quickly, build rapport with customers and understand the difference between a 'contact' and a 'decision maker'. You will make outgoing calls to promote and sell to a variety of business types that have a need to reduce and manage their fuel costs. You will maintain and continue to increase 'pipeline' generation of prospective customers and negotiate the terms of an agreement to close sales. You may also be involved with identifying new markets and business opportunities; Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets. You also need to be a team player and influence those around you, calmly demonstrating confidence and professionalism to clients and colleagues The successful candidate will be put through an intensive induction course, covering everything from industry knowledge and basic sales techniques to becoming an expert. Skills and Interests To be a telesales operator you'll need: Excellent communication and listening skills, polite, confident and friendly manner Initiative Confidence using computers To enjoy working with customers and building relationships. A positive attitude. Perseverance and the ability to respect customers' answers. Good knowledge about all the company's products and services. To be well-organised and thorough, even under pressure. To enjoy working within a target-driven team environment. Personal Requirements Previous telephone based experience A fun, lively person who enjoys being successful A confident telephone manner Open to training and keen to learn Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week).
