Our client has a new exciting opportunity for a Category Group Specialist – Own Brand to join their successful team based in Witham . The successful candidate will join them on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary . Key Responsibilities of their Category Group Specialist – Own Brand will include: - To fully implement instructions given by the Strategic Sourcing Manager – Own Brand - To be responsible and accountable for all stocks purchased from suppliers under your control - To be responsible for ensuring the Company has adequate stock levels (within the levels set by the Managing Director and/or Strategic Sourcing Manager) at all times for any category or supplier under your control by means of efficient and timely purchasing systems - To be responsible for certain suppliers or categories as assigned by the Strategic Sourcing Manager and to place and progress orders as required in order to meet or exceed performance targets assigned - To keep suppliers’ files up to date and to maintain supplier or category profiles, including the documentation of sourcing and category plans as required - To be responsible for ensuring that you develop close working relationships with suppliers of assigned categories at all levels of responsibility and act as lead supplier contact in instances of overlap - To ensure the Company achieves the best price, terms and service and value performance as measured from time to time in relation to the role, including such metrics as stock turn - To keep up to date with new product developments and source new suppliers for assigned categories - To evaluate supplier performance for assigned categories based on quality, prices, delivery, customer feedback and personal knowledge and to record this information in conjunction with the approved supplier - To be responsible and accountable for supplying the Health & Safety Manager with COSHH sheets for all new products purchased from any supplier under your control - To be responsible for liaising with the suppliers over defective and non-conforming products while ensuring that the Company’s Quality Policy is always kept What they’re looking for in their Category Group Specialist – Own Brand - Background in healthcare wholesaling or comparable industry experience - Able to engage and influence senior external supplier management teams and conduct in depth negotiations concerning price, service, assurance of supply, quality, innovation and regulatory requirements - Experience of formulating, implementing and managing compliance to fully comprehensive sourcing strategies as well as being able to manage operational aspects of ordering stock within required performance parameters - Able to conduct in depth internal discussions concerning pricing and pricing theory, category financial performance, investment buying, foreign exchange risk - MCIPS or equivalent qualification by experience In return as their Category Group Specialist – Own Brand they can offer: - Competitive salary linked to skills and experiences - Performance related bonus - 28 days holiday including bank holidays - Family friendly policies - Career Development in a growing business If you would like to join their team as their new Category Group Specialist – Own Brand then please click ‘ apply ’ today – don’t miss out, they’d love to hear from you CLOSING DATE: 31st October 2016 or when a sufficient number of suitable applications have been received This job was originally posted as
