Project Manager - NHS I have a fantastic opportunity with NHS England for a Project Manager based in Leeds. This role is a temporary assignment for initially 5 months, Monday to Friday and full time 37.5 hours a week. Project Manager- Job Purpose The Chief Clinical Information Officer area within the Operations and Information directorate shapes our health service to be open, responsive and transparent and give patients, carers, public, and those who serve them, the information and support that they need to make the best decisions and choices they can. It puts the NHS Constitution at the heart of all NHS and patient decision making and transforms patient experience with information and technology. As the Portfolio Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Chief Clinical Information Officer area. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating planning activity, including business planning, across the area. This will require the post-holder to work collaboratively across group business teams to understand requirements and help build, deliver and assure plans at both strategic and operational level. The post holder will also coordinate oversight of work packages for commissions into NHS Digital In line with these responsibilities, the post-holder will adopt a matrix approach with other corporate areas such as finance and programme delivery and develop strong relationships with policy and strategy teams across the directorate and wider organisation. Key aspects of this role will be to:- Understand the strategic drivers of the organisation and directorate and link these to strategic and operational plans. Work with policy and delivery teams, to understand their requirements and objectives to enable effective planning Lead the coordination of the directorate elements of CCG Planning Guidance and the annual NHS England Business Plan Work with the portfolio and operations teams to integrate planning activity Ensure plans are formulated, agreed and understood by stakeholders Work collaboratively across the organisation and lead work to establish effective plans through matrix working with regional teams Oversee the formulation and management of work packages commissioned into NHS Digital Undertake strategic mapping work to coordinate the planning of NHS England's commitments and milestones Identify and manage the interdependencies between the Information function and the rest of the organisation, particularly with regard to the NHS England business plan Work with the Portfolio Lead to coordinate the Information and Technology Strategic Oversight Group whose role it is to oversee the IT business plan priority Project Manager - Key skills: You will need to have a background in Project Management or Project within an NHS environment.
