Production Engineer / Health and Safety Advisor Risk Assessments / HAZOP’s / Method Statements / Permit to work – Working to IOSH / Nebosh Standards Based Northamptonshire £17 p/h Limited / Umbrella Monday to Friday - 50 hours per week Contracted 6 months rolling contract – with expected project length up to three years This engineering company undertake a really wide variety of jobs – from refurbishment of production equipment and machinery to the design, manufacture and installation of structural steel framed buildings. They have grown massively over the three years and now boast clients from across the globe. They are now looking to recruit a Health and safety support engineer on a long term contract (which could last for up to three years) for an immediate start. The Health and safety support engineer will be responsible for the following. Looking at the health and safety aspects for internal site based projects and all external projects. Carrying out various risk assessments on machinery installations, external sites, and processes. Ensuring the permit to work system is being followed by external contractors. Patrolling the site to make sure H&S procedures are being adhered to and talking to the guys if they aren’t. Conducting inductions, and making safe working practices and policies are adhered to. Making sure all materials are in place for upcoming projects – liaising with other departments to ensure materials have been ordered. The candidate must possess the following skills to be considered for this role: Must possess IOSH or NEBOSH Be very hands on – ideally from a hands on background who has got a H&S qualification. Being flexible – it’s a small company and the priorities can change daily. The benefits of this position: Competitive rates Monday to Friday – contracted to 50 hours per week.
