Overview The Business Performance Manager will establish the framework for maximising commercial performance by leading and coordinating the delivery of business objectives for the Join, Stay and Leave journeys within our SME business. The Role The role will be accountable for the commercial performance of the Join, Stay and Leave journeys as well as promoting a culture where customers are treated fairly in these journeys and support the delivery of positive customer outcomes Working closely with the Join and Leave Manager in Customer Operations you will ensure a coordinated commercial and operational strategy for these journeys, delivering a journey management framework to commercial decision-making for these journeys, aligning the activities of Sales, Commercial and Marketing You will be required to Identify and evaluate commercial solutions to improve the performance of Join, Stay and Leave from analysis and modelling You will be responsible for the deployment of propositions to support commercial performance, ensuring business partnership for key sales teams ensuring aligned channel strategies and driving improved performance from insight gained through various activities including test and learn initiatives. Provide business expertise for changes to the regulatory framework for these journeys, balancing commercial and operational considerations (e.g. faster switching) Understand and adhere to company and departmental standards, policies and procedures The Person Track record of commercial decision-making in a customer-facing market Passionate about using customer insight to identify commercial opportunities Good understanding of the commercial aims and objectives of British Gas Proven ability to engage and influence a wide range of commercial stakeholders Proven commercial acumen with ability to drive commercial activity through a strong financial evaluation Experience of communicating effectively and influencing senior management Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to lead, engage and motivate a team of functional experts This job was originally posted as
