Proven field sales achiever required to increase market share and consolidate brand recognition for a leading name in the playground design & installation industry. The Position: The appointed Area Sales Manager will be responsible for: Selling playground solutions to local authorities and residential builders/developers Qualifying customer requirements and advising on the best play-scape solution accordingly Undertaking site surveys to determine access, ground conditions and dimensions, taking relevant photographs to assist with the design Formalising and preparing tender documents for submission to the client Working in conjunction with the Sales Director and internal support team to convert tenders into actual orders, maximising company margin and profits This is NOT an 8-10 calls a day sales rep role but an opportunity to develop lasting RELATIONSHIPS with key decision makers in councils and housing developers to identify current and future opportunities to tender. The Candidate: Applicants will be expected to be able to demonstrate: A minimum of two years’ experience the play equipment industry or related (play surfacing, street furniture, fencing etc) A track record of success in a field sales position Proven ability to meet and exceed KPI, sales and margin targets Strong organisational skills and personal drive An empathetic approach to understanding customers’ needs The passion and commitment to succeed and be the best Good attention to detail The Company: A leading manufacturer and supplier of playground equipment, our client has been designing, installing, landscaping and maintaining playgrounds for nearly 100 years and today boasts the widest range of outdoor and adventure playground equipment in the UK.
