Position: Technical Product Manager Location: Northumberland Salary: £Negotiable depending on experience The Company: My client is an international leader in medical and safety technology and gas detection. The Role: New product launch activities Represent service in the cross functional team meetings Contribution during development of service concepts, strategies, and requirements for new products and concepts to optimize service of “installed base” Definition and verification of service-related technical system requirements and evaluation of serviceability Specify and validate new service tools Transfer know-how to training and technical support personnel Responsible to manage process of preparation technical launch packages (e.g. service manuals, spare part documentation, technical information) as well as instruction of technical product trainer concerning service related tasks Write, validate and release service documents Lifecycle management Represent service in the product steering boards Service product responsibility during product life cycle management Responsible for service related product life cycle management of assigned products and/or applications in order to increase the profitability Coordinate service activities to ensure product changes are performed according to schedule (e.g. test documents, service tools, SAP data maintenance) Service product responsibility during phase-out of products and components Main Interfaces C&D Product management Technical Documentation Quality Operations Requirements: Bachelor of Science or equivalent combination of education and experience. Long-term professional experience concerning technical service activities or technical management of product life cycle Good communications skills to be able to communicate with a wide range of contacts including C&D, Training Academies. Good organisational skills and structured approach to tasks Must be team oriented, but also have the ability to work without supervision and on own initiative.
