Demob Job Reference: J2673 Job Title: Lecturer Location: Gosport, Hampshire Salary: £35,000 Our client is one of the UK’s leading support services companies, They deliver many key services including, training, design, build, manage, operate and maintaining assets, Dealing with companies both in the UK and overseas, Supplying customers in a wide variety of industry sectors including, Defence, Marine, Naval, MoD, Nuclear, Communications, Energy and Transportation. They now require a Lecturer, Based in Gosport, Hampshire. You will be responsible to deliver engineering and mathematics academic modules to both military and civilian students. This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and held a similar Engineering training role. Responsibilities: - Support the preparation of course modules as directed by the principle lecturer. - Managing and instructing military and civilian personnel in engineering and mathematics academic modules to foundation degree level in accordance with approved instructional specifications. - Reporting on student performance as required. - Invigilating of examinations and marking assessments and assignments in support of the above. - Demonstrates a commitment to continuing professional development (CPD). - Demonstrate a knowledge and application of relevant learning theories. - Provides effective learner advice, guidance and support. - Demonstrates effective coaching skills in the learning environment. - Possesses sufficient knowledge to respond to learners needs; professionally as a technical subject matter expert; educationally as a training practitioner and practically as a mentor or coach. - Demonstrates effective communication skills in the learning environment. Qualifications & Requirements: - Must hold a minimum HND or HNC in a relevant engineering or maths discipline. - Experience in the delivery of nationally recognised engineering education and training. - Instructional experience of technical subject in a military environment. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook packages. - Knowledge of applying engineering principles practically in a military technical environment. - Good working knowledge of H&S legislation. Benefits: - £35,000 annual salary. - Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. - Dayshift hours, 08.00am to 4.30pm. - 25 days holiday plus 8 stats. - Company pension scheme. - Opportunity to join a very reputable company.
