S3 Science is pleased to be recruiting an enthusiastic individual for a rewarding role working within the scientific community. We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 3 Month temporary contract contact based in London. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Running of pharmacy practice laboratory when practical classes under the job-holder's responsibility are in occupation, including allocation of duties to assisting technical staff and the provision of laboratory services at those times. Preparing materials and equipment for pharmacy practice practical's and workshops before the start of teaching and during the semester. Supporting students learning during practical's and workshops with guidance on basic dispensing procedures and use of equipment commonly used in the practice of pharmacy e.g. inhalers. Supporting practical assessments by preparation of materials e.g. medicines for accuracy checking exercises. Preparing materials and equipment for and supporting pharmacy practice assessments. Maintaining and managing the use of all pharmacy software and hardware in use for practicals. Working collaboratively with pharmacy practice staff regarding resources required for classes , placing orders and organising storage etc. e.g. medicines, glassware, stationary To support other members of the technical team in other laboratory duties commensurate with the grade as required. Keep up to date with subject related and professional issues, in particular, developments in the specific subject area, and to incorporate new techniques as these become available. To complete and health and safety risk assessments. To aid with recommending future equipment requirements and evaluating new equipment for purchase. To be the first point of contact for suppliers of equipment, consumables and software.
