Scientist - Cell Based Assays (Oncology) Do you hold industry based experience developing Cell Based Assays within the Oncology Therapeutic area? Are you looking for an opportunity to join an innovative and expanding company working on a novel platform within oncology? My Cambridgeshire based client works within the oncology therapeutic area with a highly innovative platform. As they go from strength to strength, they now seek a Scientist within Cell Based Assays to join their Assay Development team. As a Scientist - Cell Based Assays, you will join a highly skilled team within Assay Development for screening novel molecules. The successful candidate will utilise their industry experience in oncology to develop cell based (and biochemical) screening assays. The main responsibilities of the Scientist - Cell Based Assays role will be: Development and optimisation of novel cell based and biochemical assays for use in drug screening, and characterisation of the binding and function of products. Develop and implement oncology, cell viability, cell apoptosis assays. Interaction with Biology and Chemistry discovery teams for reviewing data and interpreting findings. Identify, evaluate and implement new technologies to build on in house capabilities. To be considered for the role Scientist - Cell based assays you will have: Strong experience in assay development and screening (E) o Cell viability o Cell apoptosis o Cell cycle analysis o Other assays such as Alphascreen, HTRF, Fluorescence Polarisation, Biacore (D). Experience across the oncology therapeutic area (E) Industry based experience; Biotech or Pharma (E) A genuine interest in contributing to novel platforms (E) Experience in Peptide screens (D) Candidates without industry experience, or candidates without oncology therapeutic experience will not be considered for this opportunity.
