Head of Events - Job Summary We have an exciting role for a Head of Events to work within a prestigious Conference, Events and Exhibitions venue in East London. As Head of Events you will proactively drive all C&E and Exhibition customer catering requirements. The Head of Events will ensure efficient service and delivery at all times, whilst balancing financial performance and customer satisfaction. Reporting into the Commercial Sales Director you will lead a team of eight including Senior Events Managers, Event Managers, junior events managers, Office Administrator and an ECOS administrator to ensure the highest standards of accurate and timely customer, staff and management information. The Head of Events will ensure all events administration is accomplished effectively & accurately in order to provide a seamless operation. Head of Events - Role Responsibility To motivate and lead employees to perform their roles to a high standard, leading by example at all times To control and monitor the financial performance of the units and to maintain costs within budgeted targets To meet the demands of the customers by providing exquisite service and food To establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels both internally and externally Manage high profile conferences & events to an exceptional standard Ensure all special events are completed to the required standard of food and service and are also undertaken within budgeted costs To implement and maintain exemplary levels of standards of hygiene, health and safety, auctioning where necessary Deliver financial results though leading and supporting your team in delivery of their KPIs To continually drive towards service excellence, customer satisfaction and delivering innovation in all areas Coach, develop and lead a team to provide exceptional service and drive sales Managing stakeholder relationships in a commercial and compliant manner Head of Events - The Ideal Candidate Strong communication skills Strong organisation skills Strong hospitality and catering industry knowledge Assertive, calm works well under pressure Able to communicate at all levels Strong leadership qualities Self starter, drive, ambition Ability to work to strict pressured deadlines Creative in thinking and approach Motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery A “can-do” attitude Detail2Leisure is acting as an employment agency.
