We are recruiting in our Bridgwater Depot for a Project Engineer to deliver capex projects within agreed timescales and budget to ensure business needs are met across Müller Milk & Ingredients. Key Responsibilities: - Manage & control project budgets from concept to completion, ensuring any spends are highlighted. - Work with stakeholder(s) and procurement to prepare purchasing contract that protects the interests of MWD. - Ensure departmental control documentation is kept up to date to reflect actual & projected spends. - Review regional projects to generate and deliver 3 year budget plans. Generate capex projects to drive the business forward. - Ensure capex plans are adhered to. - Lead monthly reviews for all Capex projects within allocated region. - Utilise clarity project approval and project documentation. - Assist & lead project champions with their role. - Utilise company standard documentation for life cycle of the project. Ensure compliance with current health & safety, environmental and quality standards & regulations. - Ensure project implementation Risk Assessments are completed, ensuring the Health & Safety, environmental and quality impact risks are minimised. - Liaise with site / regional management teams, to ensure they are aware of any possible impacting issues and support when required. - Review contractors to ensure compliance with all relevant policies. - Keep up to date with new statutory regulations affecting projects. Keep up to date with current technology and best practice - Review, evaluate and make recommendations to the business - Share learnings across the business - Networking with technical experts within and outside the business. Update clarity information monthly to ensure all project information is up to date. - Report on the progression of each project within the region to the projects team & overall business, ensuring cost, production, environmental and health & safety aspects are all highlighted / relayed where necessary. - Report to senior management on all aspects of regional project management and budget management. - Carry out close out meetings to ensure performance is reviewed and document learnings. - Liaise with MWD stakeholders on ongoing works and requirements. - Work closely with site/maintenance department to identify equipment deficiencies which may be as a result of poor design, old technology etc - Assist sites with the improvement of OEE. - Share learnings across the business - Technically support and advise sites/ regions when required. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: - Excel - PowerPoint - Microsoft word - Microsoft project - AutoCAD - Effective communication (oral / written) skills - Ability to operate across all levels within the business - Driving licence - 3 - 5 years in engineering projects. Professional Qualifications: HNC / HND in relevant subject Budgets and People: Direct control of Project capex budget Business Relations Director level to operator, contact with all levels through the business. The Role is Fulltime permanent working Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00 on day shift, the role is based in Bridgwater ,however may be required on occasions to cover other sites.
