The Role Being the leader of the bid teams Being the driver and catalyst behind the bid process The main point of contact with the design team on tenders, when appropriate Establishing winning work strategies Managing the programme/ timescale for each tender including the timely input of other members of the team including the temporary works engineer who may be an external consultant Joining client/ consultant meetings to discuss and review new opportunities Site visits Engaging with the supply chain including discussing options/ pricing for different methods Focus on establishing the build method along with a logistics strategy, including temporary works Managing the preparation and input for mid bid meetings Ensuring a quality proposal document is assembled and issued Proof reading proposal documents Managing the preparation and input for post tender meetings Managing external relationships with clients and consultants Briefing delivery teams when handing over newly secured projects to them Experience; Different forms of contract Different procurement routes Building knowledge and strong technical skills with a real interest in detail from substructure to envelope Kowledge of MEP, Rail, Retail, Residential and Infrastructure projects required Programming and sequence Temporary works Plant and logistics The design process from consultant design through to signed off working drawings from the supply chain Knowledge of the implications of typical aspects such as party wall agreements, planning conditions to discharge, working hour's restrictions, noise restrictions Knowledge of various sector types: commercial, residential, hotel, education Financial awareness of decisions As one of the UK's leading recruiters, Fawkes & Reece specialises in all areas of Building Services and M&E, from M&E Quantity Surveyors, M&E Estimators, M&E Project managers, M&E Managers, M&E Project and M&E Design Engineers, M&E Coordinators and CAD Draughtsman.
