As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for responding to customers’ service and maintenance calls throughout Newcastle and the surrounding area. Liaising with customers in a friendly, professional manner, you’ll identify faults on a range of systems and strive to resolve them within contracted times. Additionally, you’ll perform in-depth technical surveys on systems and schemes, as well as informing the Regional Service Manager of any operational problems. Your other duties will involve: - Accurately documenting your service and maintenance work - Maintaining a sufficient stock of spare parts - Ensuring that all product updates are understood and correctly filed in the manuals To be considered, you must have: - Field engineering experience, preferably in the fire and/or warden call industry - A full driving licence Customer-focused and highly motivated, as a Field Service Engineer, you must have strong communication skills. A methodical approach to problem-solving is also key. A 17th Edition electrical qualification or BTEC/ONC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering would be beneficial to your application.
