Each year they invest in our people, our systems and our infrastructure. As part of their continued success they are now looking to recruit a Bid Coordinator in their Manchester office. You will be supporting their sales functions with bid preparation including the production of presentations and bid documentation. You will lead the bid support function within the company and support the Head of Major Accounts, to secure large, mainly tendered opportunities and to convert them to a sale. The bids you’ll be working on will be worth over £250k per annum. You will be ensuring that they offer the most exciting written bid that will stand out from their competitors in the marketplace. By ensuring that the company is registered with all relevant tendering websites you will make sure all opportunities in both the private and public domain are captured. You will play a key part in growing their business Main responsibilities include: Providing insight and analyses of forthcoming opportunities, and canvassing new ones Undertaking a Bid/No Bid exercise to decide whether to make a submission or not Understanding the Request for Tender, deciding timelines and allocating responsibilities Timely management of tender activities such as reviewing drafts, copy-writing, graphic design and presentation Producing presentations and other collateral Managing quality control Obtaining feedback from purchasers when tenders are unsuccessful in order to improve in future Key Skills & Requirements: Proven practical experience of successful bid writing and be able to demonstrate that your contribution to bids has made a difference and positively affected the outcome Knowledge of the tendering marketplace and processes The ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of Engineering A proficiency in producing presentations and therefore you will be skilled in IT and familiar with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Excellent relationship building skills with customers and other stakeholders Be familiar with Adobe InDesign It may be an advantage if you: Were member of the Association of Bid and Proposal Management Professionals. In return our client offers a basic salary of circa £25,000, plus pension contribution of up to 10% and corporate bonus.
