Snr Linux Engineer Cloud | Saas | Server Operations SAAS Software Global Marquee Name We seek a Senior Linux Engineer with deep fundamental Linux expertise to contribute to operational engineering of the global server infrastructure of our client. Keywords: Linux Administrator, Linux Engineer, Linux Server Engineer, Linux Systems Administartor, Server Operations, Cloud Operations, SAAS Operations, Bash, Python, Redhat The Cloud Server Operations department is responsible for build, design, automation, compliance, and global oversight of production operating systems. This Engineer will have a primary role as the Senior Linux Engineer for all internal projects. Example tasks include designing, building, supporting, optimizing and automating the server infrastructure. The Engineer must provide a high level of expertise in Red Hat Linux and supportive toolsets and scripted automation. This position requires engineering practices with enterprise operational experience, who will energetically solve issues in a multi-tasking environment; is oriented towards automation of all aspects of the infrastructure, leads the team in documentation and defining of best practices, is willing to mentor other engineers, and works well with any variety of team members. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 20 years of experience as an Engineer with concentration around servers. Hands-on administrative management experience of customer-facing critical systems supporting Linux environments. Knowledge of industry security principles and server vulnerability remediation practices. Experience with Bash and Python, in concert with non-OS interfaces. (rest api, database, etc) Experience providing technical leadership to junior engineers. Experience documenting technical processes and workflows; procedures, run-books. Experience in a 24/7 Technology Operations environment (on-call) for critical customer facing SAAS-like environments. Proven history of incident response, diagnostic activities, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Action Plans, and advanced troubleshooting. Demonstrate senior level technical infrastructure and architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA and development infrastructures running in 24x7 environments.
