A Building Services Electrical Engineer is required to join our team in the Scotland and based in either Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow. WHAT THE BUILDING SERVICES ELECTRICAL ENGINEER JOB INVOLVES: The role of Building Services Electrical Engineer is a varied and challenging one where no one day is the same. You'll be working within a friendly and supportive team and playing a vital role in ensuring that students living in our properties have a great experience. Your responsibilities will include: Completing planned test, inspections, certification and all remedial works identified Completing Fire Alarm, Lightning Protection and AOV planned maintenance Locating and rectifying a wide range of electrical faults Meeting deadlines for testing installations and repairs Being economical with company goods and materials It goes without saying that you'll maintain a high standard when completing your tasks and paperwork and that you'll of course adhere to safety standards, policy and procedure. You'll be working as part of a small regional team that strives to always provide a high quality service and any ideas you have for improvements will be valued. WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU: A genuine passion for customer service is the most important quality for us. In order to undertake the day to day requirements of your role you'll need to be BS 7671 17th Edition qualified and you'll also need to have obtained NVQ Level 3 qualified or City and Guilds 236 Part 1 and 2. As you'll be travelling between properties you'll need a driving licence. The following experience and skills are also essential: 17th Edition qualified NVQ Level 3 qualified or City and Guilds 236 Part 1 and 2 Previous experience of Maintenance, Test, Inspection and Certification of domestic and commercial properties Previous experience in locating and rectifying electrical faults in tenanted building Previous experience in a customer facing role Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and days as required Basic computer literacy and the ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook and PDA ABOUT UNITE STUDENTS: Unite Students revolutionised student housing in 1991, opening the first private and large-scale accommodation, created specifically for students.
