What this job is really like: The job is based in the UK Procurement department which handles the negotiation of contracts and ongoing management of third party suppliers who provide goods and services to RSA. This amounts to over £300m of spend per annum for the organization and is spread across approximately 1500 suppliers, who supply anything from IT Services to Stationery. On a day-day basis the role will involve collecting information, producing and analyzing data and MI, and using the output to provide insights to support other members of the team to carry out their procurement activities. There will also be a need to provide a level of administrative support to the team, and a customer facing element helping the business with procurement related queries. You will work predominantly in a team environment, liaising with and meeting the needs of internal colleagues and customers, but also need to be self-motivated and be able to work on your own initiative. Responsibilities The Jobholder is typically responsible for: Producing, collating and analysing procurement MI Producing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) dashboards Providing data insights to support the operation, identifying trends and making recommendations. Working with sourcing Category Managers and Analysts to understand their data/MI needs in order to support the planning, and implementation of category strategies. Working with other MI teams to understand alternative software packages and techniques for data analysis Supporting a range of administrative tasks and services to help sourcing and business personnel carry out their work more efficiently and effectively. The Individual Previous proven experience within a corporate environment Preferably degree level Procurement knowledge would be an advantage but not essential Advanced data/excel skills Powerpoint and presentation skills Proactive and self-motivating with an ability to drive decisions and behaviours Ability to identify and escalate issues in a timely manner. Able to work on own initiative, but also to operate as part of a team.
