You will join a dynamic department with a very large proportion of staff having been appointed in the last ten years and an outstanding group of early career academics. We aim to appoint an exceptional individual who will contribute to and enhance both our research and teaching programmes. You will hold or be near to completion of a PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant area and have a track record of research and publication in Quaternary environmental change. You will also have a definable area of research and teaching interests that will complement and strengthen those already present within the Quaternary Environments and Geoarchaeology Group and the wider context of Geography at Manchester. Teaching experience in higher education and a commitment to research-led undergraduate and postgraduate teaching is also essential for this post as is the ability to demonstrate success in securing research funding or, alternatively, have experience of the application process. Experience of postgraduate research supervision where available; and a track record of research grant capture would be desirable but not essential.
