Procurement Manager Sales, Marketing and Indirect Services Berkshire, South East England 50,000-55,000pa plus excellent benefits package If you are looking to work for an industry leading organisation where at least one of their products are in every home in the UK, who are also a pioneering employer then this is a fantastic position for a Procurement Manager with experience of sourcing Sales and Marketing services ideally or strong experience in Indirect Services sourcing. In this role you will lead a dynamic team in the sourcing of Sales and Marketing services for the UK region and working with the wider international team for this blue chip FTSE 20 Company where you will be expected to drive sustained performance and improve procurement effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Develop and drive implementation of sourcing strategies for the category. Work closely with key stakeholders in understanding needs, objectives and priorities to optimise total cost, quality and service. Collaborate with key stakeholders and works cross-functionally in developing and executing sound sourcing strategies. Understands indirect material spends across the business, analyses category markets and translates into actionable strategies and forward-looking analyses. Identifies, selects and develops suppliers, negotiates and contracts within portfolio and supply based in alignment with the companies Global strategy. Establish strategic relationships with supply base and implements supplier management strategies. Motivates suppliers to treat the company as preferred customer in presenting innovation and/or cost/efficiency projects Becomes a key member of central procurement team that will drive sustained performance and improve procurement effectiveness. Accountable to continuously improve supplier performance including service and quality. Prepares budget assumptions for portfolio in line with strategies and assumptions. Identifies and monitor risks and opportunities related to each category. Drive the organisation to mitigate identified risks and to quickly implement opportunities adopting creative solutions. Design, verify and amend contracts in conjunction with Legal Dept. Special attention is dedicated to protect intellectual property, minimise liabilities, exclusivity period of innovation, ensure availability and cost improvement. Act to continuously deliver improvement. Key Challenges of the Role Establish and develop close relationship with internal stakeholders and demonstrate capacity to influence sourcing decisions You will be expected to achieve significant bottom line cost savings, within the defined saving plan of the category as well as providing procurement leadership and direction Management of diversity of objectives between Regional and Global teams Desired Skills and Experience Proven Category Management expertise, within Indirect, ideally with exposure across Sales and Marketing. Familiar with leading complex, cross-functional, sourcing projects. Degree qualified preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Business or other relevant discipline. MBA advantageous. Ability to work in a truly global organisation. Proven experience in working in a fast moving and result driven environment which demands to work under pressure.
