Our client based near Saffron Walden are looking for a graduate RF Engineer to play a key role in the design, development and test of new radar products from board level RF circuit design to equipment level manufacture and test. This involves the design of individual RF hardware blocks and test fixtures and owning the validation of complete products in the laboratory, ultimately ensuring their success in the field. This is a "hands on" role and an opportunity to work on equipment utilising frequencies up to Ku band. You will have great attention to detail when analysing the product and its design specifications and must also be a strong collaborative worker and able to engage and communicate with other engineering teams as required. You will have: A good degree (2:1 or 1st) in electronic engineering or a related discipline Interest in and knowledge of RF system design and RF circuit design Current experience of RF laboratory test equipment and measurement techniques An imaginative and inquisitive approach, eager to learn new skills and develop solutions to complex problems Good oral and written communication skills The ability to interact effectively within the company and our clients organisations A logical approach and an ability to debug complex systems In addition, the following would be advantageous: Microwave Design knowledge Frequency Synthesiser knowledge Ability to automate test processes Radar System knowledge Graduates with industrial experience via a placement or recent graduates with relevant academic course or research experience are welcomed.
