I'm currently recruiting for a Planning Analyst to join my clients leading FMCG manufacturing site in North Lanarkshire. This role will report directly into the Group Operations Inventory Planner and be responsible for providing insight and analysis that will improve the decision making and management of the spirits inventories. You will provide on-going support to ensure accurate and timely information is available. The main duties of the role will be: To collate and model sales forecasts against maturing inventory profiles to ensure that the Group Planner has a clear picture of company stocks. Maintain and improve excel-based stock models as a base tool and history benchmark for stock management and information presentation particularly for 5YP stocks and budget discussions. Identify and manage data improvement activity in relation to stocks, product recipes and product specifications including over ageing schedules for all maturing spirits. Prepare and update a timely inventory report demonstrating knowledge and understanding of company stock position and key areas of challenge or opportunity. Prepare reports as required throughout the year including SWA submissions and Geographical spread of stock analysis. In order to be considered for this role you must have prior experience of working in an analytical role, ideally within an FMCG environment, however, other disciplines would be considered if you are able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets, have good commercial acumen and have experience of creating and managing reports. The successful individual will be able to adapt to change and not be afraid to tackle new challenges. This industry is very fast paced and you will be in constant communication with other departments and teams, providing each of them with different reports and information.
