Field service engineer required for a true market leading plant/cranes manufacturer that are offering fantastic training, earning potential and working conditions. This company truly value its staff. You will earn £40,000 plus covering a local area, no stay away or UK travel is required. Candidates can be from ANY plant – refuse vehicle, cranes, road sweeper, agricultural, mining, access platform, container handling materials handling / forklifts or similar are all welcome to apply. The key skills requirement are hydraulics and electrical coupled with service experience. From home, you will work on a wide range of own brand manufactured cranes at a number of customer locations within the designated area. This will include planned maintenance and reactive breakdown coverage, full extensive training is provided for all kit that you will work on. The Role: Carry out planned field service, maintenance and repair activities on materials handling machinery (lorry cranes) Carry out annual LOLER inspections (full LOLER training can be given) Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area. To provide emergency call out cover (call outs are rare but are in the contract) To positively represent the company with clients Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment The Person: A qualified engineer/technician from any of the following – refuse vehicle, road sweeper, agricultural, mining, access platform, container handling materials handling / forklifts or similar live in or very near the areas mentioned above Will have good electrical and hydraulics skills Will have a basic IT competency (Microsoft product use) Will ideally have experience with diagnostic test equipment Full UK driving licence Willingness to take on comprehensive training programme This job was originally posted as
