Are you an experienced professional in children's services looking for an exciting new challenge? Your new company I am currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager for a 3 bed Residential Home based in Telford for children with emotional and behavioural needs. The organisation is the region's leading provider of high quality care and education for children and young people with multiple needs. Your new role The successful candidate's responsibilities will include assisting with the day to day management of the home. The candidate will be required to manage the home efficiently and effectively in the absence of the Manager. The job will require the candidate to assist in the development and management of the staff team at the same time as representing the mission, vision and values of the organisation. What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a similar job, have full knowledge of compliance with regulatory bodies, in particular Ofsted. The successful candidate will be a dedicated and self-motivated individual with confident communication skills as well as being an active role model for the children. All records must be maintained on the child's behaviour, progress and needs. The candidate will need to maintain lasting relationships with health care providers, social workers, families and other professional bodies. The candidate will be experienced in undergoing Ofsted inspections in order to assist the provider continue their long standing tradition of delivering good and outstanding Ofsted reports in their homes. Candidate must have NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Childcare for Children and Young people's workforce (or equivalent) and have proven supervisory experience working within a residential and/or children's setting.
