Assistant Branch Manager / Hire Controller Job Description: We are looking for a team player who demonstrates energy, enthusiasm and is capable of exceeding customer expectations by understanding and meeting customer needs. The successful candidate will preferably have knowledge and experience of a plant and tool hire business, although consideration will be given to anyone with a suitable hire desk or management background, who is computer literate and willing and able to quickly learn new skills. An ability to cope with pressure and keep calm in a busy trading environment is essential. Duties and responsibilities include the following: Establishing and managing great customer relationships by promptly responding to their needs and taking personal ownership for achieving results Administering contracts on a bespoke IT system and completing relevant paperwork in accordance with operating procedures Demonstrating financial awareness, and taking appropriate actions to help maximise profitability and control costs Managing time effectively, and prioritising appropriately. Communicating clearly, succinctly and appropriately with customers and staff Taking personal ownership for achieving results. Identifying new business opportunities through listening and consulting with others.
