Frazer John Digital and Marketing Recruitment are very pleased to be working with one of the UKs fastest growing charities who are doing amazing things in both the UK and on an international stage. They have a central focus on the positive impact they can have on people worldwide tied in with a commercial focus for growth of the organisation to widen that reach and potential as time goes on. As part of a continued strengthening of their online presence and digital revenue stream they are making a few new additions to their digital team; one of which is a Social Media Co-ordinator. The Social Media Co-ordinator will work directly with the Digital Marketing Manager and a small team of like-minded individuals within a business of supportive and friendly staff. Key Responsibilities Include but not limited to; Update, develop and maintain the company's social media presence across all channels of social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and more) Assist with internal efforts around social media, i.e.: working with internal partners and audiences across organizational business lines. Develop and implement social media campaigns for annual events, promotions and overall engagement Monitor and track all social media initiatives and tactics implemented by the organization and develop reports on those findings. Execute company's day-to-day social media activities, including posting to and updating its social media platforms. Enhancing the user experience by directly engaging followers via social media platforms, fostering conversations and relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with key YouTubers, Bloggers, Twitter users and other social media influencers. Keep updated lists of those influencers across multiple categories. Track social media program results and report on those findings, as well as assist in active "listening' to the social media community, regularly reporting on those findings. Actively grow our social media audience Person Specification Skills Excellent all-round written and verbal communication skills Excellent journalistic skills, with a flair for engaging writing and consistent, meticulous editing Educated to degree level Specific additional qualification(s) in writing and/or web editing and/or social media an advantage Solid understanding of web-based technologies and the major trends, challenges and opportunities affecting web communication and social media Passionate about development work, with some knowledge of Islamic humanitarian values (desirable) An ability to manage multiple demands/projects The ability to edit audio and video an advantage Experience A proven track record in web editing and/or social media 2 - 3 years of progressive experience working in a social media focused role Experience of working as part of a team in a busy office Direct experience of working in the voluntary sector in a communications-related role, or an appreciation of the values and culture of the voluntary sector and its communications/marketing needs Personal Qualities Highly organised, with an ability to multitask and manage a busy workload Results focused, with an ability to plan and deliver against objectives Creativity and imagination Passionate about online communications and marketing Confident in dealing with a range of stakeholders Flexibility, including willingness to upload and update material outside office hours as the role requires If you would be interesting finding out more about this fantastic opportunity or hearing about other roles, please contact Sam Johnson directly on 0161 667 2282.
