Despatch Manager We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Despatch Manager. Must have proven man management experience and understand the challenges of working in a busy distribution environment. You will deliver 100% customer satisfaction both internal and external in a fast paced environment while maintaining and improving KPI's, quality and health & safety. You will manage the day to day operation of the driving team to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of goods from warehouse to customer while maintaining and improving levels of health and safety, quality and customer satisfaction. Main Responsibilities: - All daily activity for the driving team teams - Liaise with the customer to ensure all kpi are met - Drive improvements in despatch - Maintaining and improving levels of health and safety - Reducing driver error errors - Train and support the driving team - Manage staff and vehicle roster Additional Responsibilities: - General management reporting - Management of overtime and operating costs - Identify and make recommendations for cost saving initiatives and corrective actions - To actively involve yourself in self development, learning new skills as required - To drive staff development Staff responsibility: - Team of 20 - Performance management up to disciplinary level - Return to work interviews - Annual performance reviews - Involvement in pay award structure Competencies: Knowledge, Skills and Attitude - Good staff management skills - Warehousing/despatch/logistics background is an advantage - Computer literacy essential - Good level of numeracy - Must have a 'can do' approach - Demonstrates a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding customer needs - Ability to prioritise and manage own tasks and those of your team - Enthusiastic, motivational and an energetic team player - Flexible with the needs of the business Monday to Friday 06:30am to 15:30 This job was originally posted as
